“If we care about the health and well-being of children today and into the future, we must work now to ensure that women and girls have equal opportunities to be educated, to participate in government, to achieve economic self-sufficiency and to be protected from violence and discrimination.”

Driving Change in Southeast Asia with the Scent of the Tropics

At the heart of Mangosteen, a social enterprise founded in 2013 in Malaysia, lies our deep-rooted commitment to empower women and children across Southeast Asia. We do this by dedicating 100% of our profits to transformative causes.

We stand firm in the belief that women are not just the backbone of society but also crucial architects of the next generation's future.

Research shows that women play a pivotal role in bridging the gender gap. Especially in rural areas of Southeast Asia, women often serve as the primary caregivers for their families. Access to education empowers these women to provide better care for their children, reducing mortality rates, ensuring more girls attend school, and raising awareness of rights and reproductive health.

This empowerment leads to a significant rise in girls staying in school and entering the workforce, contributing to each country’s economy, and achieving political representation to enable the implementation of more equitable policies.

However, organisations dedicated to making impactful changes are constrained by a lack of funding and resources. Recognising this challenge, Mangosteen aims to support these efforts by offering you irresistible body and home essentials infused with the scent of the tropics.

Every purchase you make helps direct all profits towards these organisations, thus accelerating the realisation of their mission as our social enterprise grows.

By choosing Mangosteen, you're not just indulging in the luxurious essence of our region; you're actively participating in a movement to empower and uplift communities across Southeast Asia. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

Our founder, Dato’ Kathleen Chew

“The well-being of women is central to the health of a family and a strong, thriving community and society. Every dollar spent on improving the lives of women in poverty translates into exponentially improved outcomes for their children. And why not contribute to this whilst you also take the time to care for yourselves?”
